Erosion Control
Do you face an Erosion challenge?
Soil erosion can occur due to the physical forces of water and wind but it can also be accelerated through degenerative farming practices.

Conventional tillage methods, the absence of cover crops and soil cover, lack of proper design and earthwork implementation, can result to loss of our valuable topsoil. Our topsoil is rapidly getting lost and we only have enough left to support the growing of our food for the next 60 years.

Low-cost and low-tech strategies can be implemented to help reduce and prevent erosion, slow down the flow of water through the system and increase water infiltration to the ground.

According to the site’s specifications: aspect, annual rainfall and observed erosion patterns, the most appropriate erosion control strategies are designed and implemented. Methods such as drywall terraces, berms and basins (swales), net and pan planting systems and strategic planting are some examples of what can serve as erosion control.
