Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly do you do?
We design, teach and implement permaculture, aiming to inspire more positive change through our example. Our purpose is to facilitate the creation of resistant and thriving living ecosystems by mimicking nature and helping regenerate degraded lands and ecosystems through landscaping, resilient agriculture and application of natural living practices. In a nutshell, we have set out to create a better world for our children and their children to live in. We are dedicated to spreading the knowledge on regenerative farming, helping create more resilient natural and human ecosystems and are committed to setting the foundations for a more thriving and adaptive future. If you want to learn more about what permaculture is, what drives us, and meet our team, head to the About section.
What themes can a permaculture design include?
Whether you want to improve or design your water management system, address erosion on site, work with agroforestry principles, construct your own greywater system, regenerate your property’s soil or create a high-yielding food forest, a permaculture design can help you get there. Such a design can be as broad or specific as you need it to be, according to your needs and resources. Through our design process, we make sure to nail down your vision and goals and create the most appropriate design for you. If you want to learn more about any of the above subjects, click on the corresponding tab under the Services section.
What types of projects do you specialize in?
Living in a Mediterranean to semi-arid climate as well as working at highly challenged sites such as in Kenya and Jordan, we have gained experience in designing, setting up and maintaining systems that are dryland challenged. Maximizing the use of available water as well as increasing soil fertility and site biodiversity through all available techniques, are some of the patterns we tend to include in our designs. To read more about the potential subjects on which we could work with you on your site, have a look at our Services section.
How much does a consultation or design cost?
It depends. Every project is different so are the clients’ needs and expectations as well as available resources. We have a range of service fees depending on the chosen service and the specific details of each project, for example the size of land, the desired number of systems to be included in the design and other factors. If you are interested in a permaculture design, in our permaculture design section we explain how the first stage of our design process is to assess your goals, needs and expectations through an on-site visit and questionnaire. During that stage, we are able to assess the amount of work needed on our behalf and can provide you with an exact quote for our design services. If what you are looking for is any other kind of service, including a 3D design, aerial photography or event organization, contact us to provide you with specific service fees.

How long does an average project design take to be completed?
This depends on what the extent of the project is. Is it a vegetable garden with three wicking beds or a 3-hectare agroforestry regeneration project? How fast can we have access to the necessary information, how specific and clear are the client’s design goals and expectations? These are all factors that determine the amount of time needed for the design to be completed. On average a process of design could take between a month and several, depending on the aforementioned factors.
Could you help me implement a designed project?
Implementing and managing a designed project on our behalf is an available service option. According to our time availability at the moment of request, we can take charge of overviewing the implementation of our suggested permaculture design or implement it ourselves in collaboration with our experienced partners. Read more about this option on our Implementation and Project Management service tab.
I have a specific problem in my garden: Can you guide me on how to solve it?
Yes. Through our On-Site Consultation service or the Selected Project design service, we can troubleshoot challenges that occur on your property. If you are not certain what’s the right fit for you, contact us today to book your 15-min free call.
My land has an established monoculture orchard along several constructed structures, such as a house and an animal barn. Can we work together in applying regenerative permaculture principles and techniques to my land?
Of course. There is no limitation as to when incorporation of permaculture principles can kick in. Permaculture design can be addressed right at the beginning of a newly purchased plot of land or as things are running in an already established orchard and animal farm. Whatever the case is, there is always space for improvement and implementation of some fresh permaculture ideas. As our favorite permaculture teacher Rosemary Morrow loves to say:
"There’s always space for:
One more plant in the garden
One more sock in the bag
One more Indian in the bus"
If you want to learn how you can kick-start the creation of your new property or improve your existing one with permaculture principles, take a look at our offered services to see how we can work together.
I am interested in organizing an environmental awareness event for my corporation. Can you help?
We are always excited to be part of an organization’s eco-growth: talking about simple everyday habits that can help you acquire a lighter carbon footprint, helping you organize sustainable living hands-on workshops, educating your staff on the themes of regenerative agriculture and living practices or helping you organize environmental connection and awareness activities for the members of your organization, are just some ideas of what we could do for you. Head to the Organization and Coordination of Eco-Events section to read more or contact us to book your event today!
